The Communication Device Class (CDC) is used for implementing virtual communication ports. This example demonstrates a bridge between a Virtual COM Port on the USB Host Computer and an UART port on the evaluation board. The following picture shows an exemplary connection of the development board and the USB Host Computer.
- For the com port using windows device manager. Unfortunately, I can not find any comports listed. I also see a ST Link in the device manager but it does not show it as a comport. It does say to make in the readme file that you should make sure the virtual com port is enabled.
- Rename it to ArduinoSTM32 (just delete the master part) Now open the ArduinoSTM32 folder.there is a folder inside that's named drivers. Somewhere in that folder you'll find a file named installdrivers (it's a batch file). Click on that and install the drivers. Just say yes to everything. Congratulations, you're basically done.well, almost.
I use VB 4.1.8 on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on CoreDuo (32bits) MacBook Pro.
I configured a USB filter to allow to connect my GPS to a windows XP guest.
When I plug in my device, nothing happens on guest side. If I try to connect device manually, I get following error:
- Code: Select allExpand viewCollapse view

If I use kextstat, It seems that AppleUSBCDC catches this device:

So I've tried to remove kernel extensions from /System/Library/Extension/IOUSBFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns. Extensions are no more loaded but VB is in trouble: USB device title are 'unknown' but for STM32. If I try to connect manually, VB tells me that device is busy with a previous request.

Do you have any idea on what could solve this issue ?
Thanks in advance for an answer.
Happy new year for everybody.
